Default New C5 Owner :)

Hello,
I just wanted to thank everyone that guided me prior to my C5 purchase. I had my eye on a couple and thanks to the advice of everyone here I believe I made the right choice.

...So I am now the proud owner of a 1998 Torch Red coupe (37k miles). It needs major detailing--the previous owner had it sitting in a garage for more than 2 years--but after a nice bath and a coat of wax it is good to go.

I will post pictures soon.

I do have a couple questions though. I was looking at the cars computer code history and this is what came out.

CODE LIST
10-PCM (Powertrain Control Module) P1431 Fuel Level Sensor 2 Circuit Performance H

28 TCS (Traction Control System) C1221 LF Wheel Speed Sensor Input Signal is 0 H
C1222 RF Wheel Speed Sensor Input Signal is 0 H
C1254---Did not find in C5 Computer Codes

80-RADIO U1000---Did not find in C5 Computer Codes H

A0-LDCM (Left Door Control Module) B2282 Battery #1 Fault H
B2284 Battery #2 Fault H
U1064 Loss of Communications with BCM H

A1-RDCM (Right Door Control Module) B2282---Did not find in C5 Computer Codes H
B2285 Battery #2 Fault H
U1064 Loss of Communications with BCM H

A6-SCM (Seat Control Module) B0851 Battery 1 Out of Range H

B0-RFA (Remote Function Actuation) U1255---Did not find in C5 Computer Codes H
U1096 Loss of Communication with IPC H

Can anyone read code?

Clear those codes and see which one's come back. Several of them are communication errors and are the result of certain other codes.

Sometimes you can get a missed communication three consecutive times and that sets a DTC. However, it may have been a fluke or a pre-warning for upcoming repairs.

Congrats!

Did they say when the battery was replaced or is it marked with a date code?

So your in the 30 month range.

Keep the following in mind in the near future AC-Delco 78-6YR (30 month free replacement)- around $105.. But the C5/C6 electrical system is quite demanding and requires a minimum 120RC spec for the battery. The one mentioned above meets that.

Congrats.
All the codes you mentioned are H codes. That means History.
H codes are codes that have since cleared but are still in the system. clear all these codes and you should be good to go.
You have no current codes. C
