My 98 C5 is always alerting me that my tires psi are either high or low. Sometimes it is alerting me of the fronts and sometimes for the rears...I am riding with the correct tire pressure (the one recomended on the tire sidewall).
If you're using an accurate gauge, and the pressures are where they should be, then you're not doing anything wrong.
I have a daily driver that signals me after about 50 miles of highway driving that I've got low tire pressures. Once I confirmed the car is wrong, I've ignored the warning for the last 6 years.

Try setting your tires at 30 psi cold - that is what is recommended on the sticker inside the drivers door area. Do not go by the psi listed on the tire sidewall.

You don't want to use the pressure on the sidewall of the tire, A good starting point is 30psi cold on all four tires and after they warm up driving you will have about 34 psi in the tires and you should not get the message any more.
The recomended tire pressure for the car is on the drivers door.
