Default Gatorback belts

Can someone please tell me who stocks Gatorback belts. I need the main and VIP auto only stocks the AC belt. I was told they can't order the main belt.

I got mine from AUTO ZONE when I bought my car in '06. They ordered them for me. Someone mentioned not long ago that AUTO ZONE has dropped the GATORBACK line of belts.

You can try this locator web site, or if you just google Goodyear Gatorback V-Belts, you can find some places to buy online.

That's unfortunate if AutoZone quit carrying them, that is where I got mine a year or so ago and was the only local store I knew of carrying them. Oh well, guess Summit online ordering is easy enough for the future.

Same story here. I went to Auto Zone on Sunday and they told me they do not stock them anymore.

The NAPA store only has Gates.

Of course both places said Gates was better anyway.

Does anyone know if they are better,,or at least just as good?? I know Gates has been a known name for years,,seems as if they would be. Would like some conformation of it.

The question is probably not does Gates make a good belt, but do they make a belt specifically designed to eliminate squeaks and chirps that result from minor misalignments w/ the pulley/belt system. The Gatorbacks are advertised as such, in fact it is the primary selling point Goodyear advertises, and they have worked for a few Vette owners, me included...

They say this about the Gates Micro-V AT belt on their website, but doesn't mention preventing unwanted noise:
Able to operate and accept misalignment in the ABDS system far greater than other serpentine belts

Replaced the stock belts on my 1998 6 1/2 years and 23,000 miles ago with the Gatorbacks, have had zero issues with wear or noise with either or the two belts. Also run the Gatorback on all our Jeeps, a few hundred thousand miles of use, no failures, or noise issues. I even keep the used belts as spares in the back of the jeeps in case one breaks.
