Battery, tires, all fluilds, belts, vaccum lines, hoses. No mileage but 7yrs old.
Agreed. A very nice find with that color combination. If you buy it, plan to spend about $1K - $2K in replacing the fluids, hoses and probably tires as I would not trust the originals if they are 7 years old and hardly used.

I can see the battery maybe but if it's sat inside somewhere it shouldn't need much else-MAYBE fresh antifreeze but it shouldn't have even degraded much with no running of the engine.
In addition to the ideas put forward above, I would be worried about some of the seals in the motor and trans. You'll probably find that all the rubber seals and gaskets dried up, cracked, and will quickly start failing as the car is driven.
I have worked with some long-term restoration projects and have had the experience of having the engine finished years before the car was operational and finding that a lot of rubber needed to be replaced. The only way to avoid this problem is to actually run the engine from time to time (even if not adding miles) to keep the fluids moving around.
If this car has had a full tank of gas for the last 7 years, I'd also want to look at the condition of the gas and make sure that it's not causing any problems with the tank or any of the fuel system equipment inside it.
I'm a big fan of buying low-mile used cars after a few years, but even I would be nervous about this one - there is such a thing as "TOO LOW"...
Didn't these 2004 C5 Coupes go for $30K base price or so brand new with the deep discounts and incentives back in late '04?
Sticker on my '04 was $52k - sales contract indicates a before-tax purchase price just slightly north of $47k. I'm the second owner, but the first guy had ALL the documents and I was amazed he only got $5k off the sticker with the C6s coming out. It's worth noting that the C6s had STEEP dealer mark-ups in 2005 to help liquidate the C5 inventory.
I can't believe that someone is that stupid. The original owner is gonna lose his shirt. If he'd taken that money and invested it well, it would have doubled; now, it's not worth much more than half of what it cost new. Love the color combo, but with an A/T, lowers the value even more.

Got to wonder why the original owner didn't drive it more - if he expected it to appreciate he was sadly mistaken. Too bad the car has not been enjoyed more.
Shoooot man, buy the car. It lived a pamperd life. Not much wrong with that car and deal with the items such as the fluids as needed.
I agree. The fuel will have to be changed out.
Last year I bought a Chevy SSR with 1100 miles on the clock with no issues what-so-ever... it now has 3 times the mileage on it. If you like it buy it and dont worry, if they start it up and run it the fuel is fine and engine seals etc. will be good, remember that the materials they use now are far superior the the previous generations. Have fun and give it a good home. Dont let these guys scare you, nothing will be wrong with it and it was not stored in some farmers field after all!! Greeting, Rob

I got my 2002 Coupe M6 in 2009. It only had 9k miles on it and the first thing I did was change all the fluids in the tranny, diff, engine oil etc.. I had the Vette mechanic at the local Chevy dealer go through it with a fine tooth comb and he said the belts and hoses were still in good shape. I got 26k on the clock now and it runs like a new one still...
