Paint issue?

Paint issue?
I recently purchased a 2000 C-5 coupe, spiral gray and in beautiful condition. The car has been extremely well cared for however, yesterday I noticed a 1" vertical hair-line crack in the paint over the right rear fender. The car has never been hit or "bumped" to my or the previous owners knowledge. Has anyone encountered this type of problem and if so is there anything that can be done except watch and make sure it doesn't get bigger? The crack is so "tight" it won't show up in a pic.

It may have something to do with the car being repainted at some point. Spiral gray was only available in 2003 and 2004. I am no paint person by any means, but I do believe it needs to have a flex additive.

if it was ever raced with a larger than stock tire or drag radial it may have bottomed the tire into the fender. you can see rub marks on the insides of my fender from my drag radials.

The gentleman I bought it from did have new rotors, calipers and Z-06 shocks installed so I'm guessing one of the "techs" (and I use that title with tongue-in-cheek), bumped it from the inside.
