I am replacing my headlight gear w/ the Brent Franker gear. The epoxy that he sent did not seem to have but a few drops of the light gold stuff(hardener?)..As I remember the last time I did this, it seemed to be a 50/50 mixture.I'm afraid it won't bond.Has anyone had any success w/ another epoxy I could buy locally? I'd like to get this back together quickly..thks

Reason: I need some help w/ this.
I tried two different epoxy glues. One held for a month and one for a week. Those plastic housings were not made to pull apart although I'm sure some people have been successful. I ended up buying a new motor.
I purchased the "kit" from rodney dickman....came complete with the two part epoxy and a popsicle stick. Its been in for over ten months....so far, so good.
I ended up breaking down and buying the brackets. No epoxy I used would hold.
+1 -- I used the epoxy for sealing, but installed the brackets from the get-go because I didn't expect the epoxy to hold by itself, and didn't want to hav eto do the job twice.
I'm wondering if jb weld will work w/this plastic? Have u tried it on this motor? I have used it on aluminum but I don't know about this plastic, plus there's not much of a surface to work with..thks
Take three washers and slightly bend one side down on each washer, place the bolts through the washers and align the bent part of the washer over the cover of the motor, tighten your bolts down on the cover and notice the wonderful way the washers hold the the motor cover in place. Did this procedure on both of my motors and it works fine!

Same thing I did over a year ago on my DD. Still holding fine
Where would I get these brackets? I may get those and/or try the jb weld..thks
JB Weld will not hold. It will not adhere to the plastic, which is really a nylon. That's why you're having problems. The epoxy that come with the Rodney Dickman kits are specifically designed to work with nylon, while JB Weld is not.
