Default The wave and more

On my way home and on an additional errand run later this afternoon, I saw 6 other vettes - and went 6 for 6 with the wave. Waves ranged from a quick hand on top of the steering wheel, to a conversation at a red light. I had been following another C5, a beautiful black targa, who got over to the left lane to let me come alongside. We waved again and at the next light, stopped next to one another. Turned out my 2000 was actually the newer one - the black one was a 98 and I would have sworn it would have been a 2004 - it was spotless. We joked about how good they looked after all this time. Funny scene, as my lane had 3-4 more cars than his did and he left a large gap while we chatted - Rt 1 in Norwood MA for the locals.

The more I am around the vette, and the people who drive them, the bigger my grin - it is a great family.

Besides the wide smile on my face when I get to drive my car,,,the best part of owning a Vette has been the people I have met!

I forget sometimes and wave from my Subaru. I get a questionable look or rightfully ignored. I have a Miata also and do get some wave backs in that car

Have you ever waved at an oncoming 'Vette and could not tell whether they waved back because of lighting conditions? Since we can recognize a 'Vette coming at us from a mile away, (OK, half a mile,) sometimes I acknowledge them by flickering the fog lights, (pull the left handle towards you a few times,) while they're still a few hundred yards in front of me. Often they'll tootle their horn as they pass.

Wave, flicker, tootle - it's all good.

Around here, I am lucky to get a return wave at all. However, I always give one. Here's one for you.

Cool I always wave, regardless.

However...I did get a little ahead of myself the other day, and accidently waved at what turned out to be a...Viper. I feel dirty. ;-)

Yea I wave and flash the fog's...but I try not to tootle in public, I believe there are obscenity laws prohibiting that sort of behavior.
