I think about about to buy my first Vette. The one I'm looking at is a 02 Zo6 with heads, cam, intake and exhaust. 96k miles. It's been autocrossed and raced.. But what Vette hasnt really. But I've been hearing it's real sketchy to buy anything with head work.. Advise? Tips? Experience? Anyone? Haha
Well at least the owner was honest about the work done and how he used the car. If this is your first Corvette, I might steer clear of this one. 97K miles and raced could be like 150-200K normal, just depends. There are plenty out there and with lower miles that have been used for normal driving. Don't jump at the first one you find. If you like the mods, find a stock Vette and modded it out yourself.
Hey Broski, there are a lot of them out there that haven't been autocrossed or raced. There are a lot of old farts out there like me that just enjoy cruising around in their dream cars. Sure, I get on it once in a while, but for the most part, it's driven normally.
My son also bought one recently with low miles that was in completely stock condition.
If you want one un-modded, keep looking and you'll find one.

with the comments made by TR6speed. Lots of C5 owners do not drag race or autocross their cars. The mods listed for the one you are looking at are pretty popular ones, but for your first one, I'd recommend buying an unmodded one and doing any mods you want yourself or by a shop you know and trust - that way you know the quality of the work.
If funds are tight you can save alot of cash buying one that already has mods compared to doing it yourself. Just be very careful. Look for one that mods have only been on car a few thousand miles and bring a seasoned vette mechanic with you even if you have to throw him some $$$$
