Anyone catch the episode/series on a c5 tune-up? I found it very interesting. One of the things they did was to swap out all the O2 sensors on a car with 60k.They ran a test on communication on them and it showed how they had slowed down to about half of what they should be. After watching this it makes me feel I need to dump mine for new. I'm at a 181k so mine must be toast. I'm having some issues with pinging when the weather is HOT. I wonder if this would help cure that?
I saw all of the episodes when they were first aired. It is interesting but I found it particularly sophomoric in light of what is discussed on this forum! Before I changed out the O2 sensors I would have them evaluated rather than just replacing parts. Having said that at 181k I would have my suspicions!
30 Minute commercial where two soul patch wearing douches try to sell the test equipment they use and make money for the rinky dink auto parts store.
Yeah I watched it for the C5, just incase, but it sucked
It was a good show when Sam and Dave did the show, back when it was Shadetree Mechanic in the 90's
I'm glad you said this so now I dont have to.
I had never watched the show and was really excited when I heard they were going to be working on a 2004 vette. big let down.
I watched that show over a month ago. They said they were going to do more but I have yet to see another episode with that vette in it. I have watched everyone long enough to see that the vette isnt part of the show and them I switch over to HD Theater.

I watch this show on Saturday morning with my coffee. But after one or two episodes you can get bored with all the snippets of use this or use that. This show ranks right up there with "Goss Garage" for some ridiculous shows. In goss's garage, Mr. Goss hands are so clean you know he hasn't touched a real car or any part of one in many years.
Put nitrogen in your tires ? Really ? Like we viewers have time to hunt down a supplier of the stuff and then figure out how to use it ? Or how to use a code reader but he never shows where he got an index of codes to match it to? Come on, the shows are about as much help as talking to your girlfriend on the telephone about your engine problems ? Waste of time.
