Default Auto Dimming Mirrors not working

Hey guys.

Two days ago, for no apparent reason, my auto dimming mirrors stopped working. The little green LED on the rear view won't turn on. The funny thing is that the two led lights under the rear view work just fine so that stumped me cause I thought it might be a loose harness or something.

The car is an 02 Z06 with 18K on the clock. What do you guys suggest I do? I looked at the plug in the back of the rear view but it seemed to be nice and snug.

There is a fuse in the pass floorboard that is blown. On my 02Z, the reverse switch in the tranny went bad, blowing that fuse. The auto dim/little orange light in the mirror and of course, the reverse lights were out. Funny thing, the reverse would light up as approach lights from the key fob.

My reverse is actually doing the exact same thing now! Approach lights work but throwing it in reverse does nothing. So there's a fuse in the pass floorboard. And a fuse in teh tranny for the reverse?

Any link to show how i can get to these? Is the reverse light fuse reachable by just putting the car on a lift/jacks?

The reverse light switch is mounted on the drivers side of the tranny. Go to Napa, order a new one, go home, unhook the connector, unscrew bad switch, screw in new one, reconnect harness. Pull back carpet in passenger footwell, open fuse box, replace fuse #21, done.

more info here and here

I backed up on my rhino ramps, easily accessible.
