First trip to redline
I now have 600 miles and I took my first WOT trip to redline this evening. It was fairly chilly out and my wife and I were driving with about 1/2 a tank. I nailed it from a roll in first at about 2000 RPM without using the clutch. The car took off and the rear tires broke a little loose at about 4500 RPM and the engine started to scream. The sound was pure music. It pulled very hard right up to redline. I let off the gas, shifted to second, and then cruised away with a scared wife and a smile.

What you really need to do is find a nice long highway entrance ramp, approach at about 50 mph and then drop from 3rd to 2nd and floor it! Breaking the tires loose at 65, now that's more like it :D :cheers:
