Need to replace my wheel studs and would like to upgrade from stock. Has anyone tried the aluminum nuts with Arp bolts or should I stick with chrome lugs? My concern is that they will stick out to far. What are my options? Please post pics if available.
lot of discussion on this in roadracing section - do a search. I dont have a lot of info to answer your question but I've read more than once that the ARPs are a bit longer than stock so you do have to account for that with proper sized nuts or go with open ended which you may not want to do on a street car.
Doug Rippie Motorsports studs are only 2mm longer than OEM but they are threaded all the way unlike OEM that have 10mm or so with no threads on the end
I use those with acorn style nuts and no bottoming out
the ARPs are great but shortest is 1" longer than stock
