Default Front Plates

How do they mount up? do i just screw them in after i take the cover off or do i need some kind of bracket?

You can just bolt it in but there is a surround you can get @ Chevy that finishes it off better.

Check your trunk....that's where I found my surround. It was wrapped in cellophane or plastic and looked like it was an OEM part. The previous owner never put a plate on but I did. I was digging around in the trunk for the first time and bingo, there it was. Good luck.

There is a factory black plastic surround that can be put around the license plate to give the area a more finished look. You can also buy them painted body color or just paint yours if you have it. And yes, the plate is held on with two screws just like any other front plate - once you take the license plate cover off the car.

I think there was a vendor on this forum that sold front license plate surround frames paint in all the different body colors.

If you're going to get the surround post a wtb ad in the parts section. A lot of people have them laying around. I got mine brand new in the original packaging from a forum member for less than half of what the dealer would've charged me...
