For those that have reaattched thier window using the Rhino Glue, did you apply the glue on the glass un-scuffed or did you rough it up for better adhesion? I read GEM's thread but it did not address this concern. How well does the glue hold on a slick nonporous surface? I have the glue and need to get this done. I'm spending a ton on the adhesive tape every two days and need a better fix. Just want to get it right the first time. I know that a new top is the best solution but thats not an option until late in the year.

I've never done this, however I have used Rhino Glue. Based on your description, I think it would help to lightly sand the rear window glass where you plan to apply the adhesive. IMO, it would help with the bonding process.
Are you planning to then hold the window in place by tape? Let us know how that works out. I would also try to apply to backside pressure as well. Not sure with what, however something that is applying pressure up on the window/seam.
I had top 1/2 of vert window separate from top 2 years ago. Put a bead of the Rhine glue around outside of window and stuffed a couple of pillows in from behind on the rear deck to push glass against top. Last year after a trip to Monterey, the bottom 1/2 of the window came loose. Did the same as above and has worked like a charm. Did not rough up surface before gluing. Just cleaned glass with alcohol wipes. Rhino seems to work best with 2 perfectly flat surfaces. This application is perfect. Do not drip any glue on fabric top, you will never get it out. I had to clean up some excess on glass after it dried. Use a single edge razor blade. Good Luck
My glass came loose and I did the Rhino Glue fix. I DID NOT sand the glass. I only cleaned it and put the suction cups on as per instructions. It's held for over 2 years now.
