I have a 00 Automatic Convertible that turned 50K miles and I would like to do a transmission flush and fill. Am looking for a reputable shop to do this at reasonable cost. Any recommendations in the Reading, PA area appreciated.
I had my transmission serviced at a dealer for $220 here in Virginia. They changed the filter too. I was told a flush was not recommended on these cars. I believe they dropped the pan, changed filter and fluid. It was actually less expensive then having a flush at local shops. You might want to check with your local dealer, they are not all "stealerships".

I only recommend you set up an appointment with County Corvette because once you go there, have your car serviced, and see first hand how they take care of you !. . you'll be sold on the quality of their service. You can see some of their work in the showroom. The 63 Silver Coupe in the showroom, I saw that car when it came to County Corvette. It was a body sans doors hood and anything else, just a frame and a chassis and four big wooden boxes of parts. Look at it now. a top flight NCRS stunning Silver Coupe ! Do yourself a favor, cal them. You want it done right, they are the people to see. You won't be disappointed. Tell that Jim Ward told you about them.
If you do enough checking on the Internet you'll discover that the consensus is that the risk/benefit ratio for having a trans flush isn't on the favorable side. It mainly centers on the fact that the majority of people that have it done are people who are having trouble with their trans. If their trans crud isn't completely cleaned out of the machine it ends up being your crud. I decided against doing it for my wife's Jeep. A new filter and fluid is safer for a properly working trans.
