Default Battery effect electronics

I have an 03 with 17000 on it. Here are the symptoms;

pull key and wait 10 seconds - this has happened a couple of times in the last week.
memory location not remembering - the one and two button don't seem to remember and the fobs are not either.
passenger power window - as soon as I started it up last night I tried to roll down passenger window and it would not go down a either door switch, then a minute later it worked just fine.

So could this be a battery issue? I tested the battery car turned off and got a reading of 12.2, car on got 14.1. Car starts no problem even after sitting for a week or two.

I believe 12.2 is too low for a modern car.

The car was off. 12.2 is what a 12 volt battery puts out.

I'd say 12.2/ 14.1 is on the low side of normal. If the car is not a daily driver, always use a battery charger/ tender.

Checking voltage is almost meaningless. The battery in my garage door opener will read 12 volts. You need to load test it.

Using the dash guages to determine the state of health of the battery is a useless effort. Key on and engine off and there are numerous circuits that are loading the battery so the reading on the dash guages means nothing. ( BCM and PCM to name two and there are others) Engine running and you read the output voltage of the alternator. Nice to know the alternator is charging the battery but useless in determining if the battery is good or not.

OP charge the battery and then get it load tested. Most parts places test free of charge.
Yeah, I know. My battery reads 12.3 and is fine.

Hey Greg - take the battery to a place like AutoZone, O'Reilly's, etc and have them test the battery for you. Should be no charge and you'll know if it has a weak or bad cell in there. When the battery starts to go bad, you can get all kinds of weird electrical problems.
