Either that is one beautiful color and car....or you are a great photographer....I suspect a bit of both....love it! What a nice color in and out of the sun..... and those wheels....soo nice
Well since I'm the owner of the car I'll have to post pics of what people have asked the previous owner to do which is take a real rear pic of the wheels. They are stretched, too little tire for the rim imo but I do like the look. Biased as I've spent 20 yrs in Germany so I'm accustomed to the look and the real reason it's done over there. 12" rim on a 285 tire just won't do. But they'll do for now since they were new tires when I bought the car back in Aug. The ride is nice in terms of handling, comfort and cornering ability but once I wear these tires out I'll be putting 295's back there as a 315 won't fit w/ w/ out some trickery on my part and at the current height, I will not compromise the ride height for nothing.
Yeah it does look dangerous. I worry more about cutting the tire than it actually giving way w/ the way it is. I may be able to stick a 305 back there but I'll have to get on a 4 wheel lift to really see what kinda clearance issues that may exist.
Why such small tires? I'm assuming it will rub horribly with a correctly sized rear tire? IMO that 12" rear should have a 335 rear tire on it, is that possible?
I got the exact same sizes after seeing the original owner make this thread.
I put a 295/35/18 in the rear and a 265/35/18 in the front.
No problem. Funny, I'm 10mm smaller than your setup w/ 285 and 255's. LOL Now I know what it'll look like w/ your setup as that's my intention next. I still may try a 305 in the rear but not sure until I get it on a lift and look.
As to the other post asking why such a small tire. Not sure if it was directed at me or you but mine came this way so it stays as is until they're worn out.
Thanx man!
Obviously I love your car! I didn't let this thread die haha
I went with these sizes because that's what I thought were on your car! LOL
CCW also told me to run these sizes.
IMO anything bigger than the 295 will "pop" out too much unless you want to run fender flares.
It looks perfect as it sits now (my car) in these sizes.
Not a fan of the stetched & stance style on a American car, If you wanna see what a 305 looks like here's mine. No pop, no flared fenders dropped to max on aftermarket bolts.

Is your back wheel a 12" wheel and what is the offset? I don't know what the offset is in mine I'd have to ask chassed since he copied what I have. That's the determing factor for me is the offset. You are lowered on stock bolt as is mine but it's even lower than that. How he did it I don't know but I literally have 3" from the ground to the body.
both the yellow and silver c5's look great but i think to really pull off the look the cars have to be lower. when i had my friends 12's on the back of mine with a 315 maybe a 335 not realy positive but it rubbed a bit on the plastic liner on the inside wheel well and they stick out maybe a inch or so on the outside. I will be getting a set sometime in the future whenever my H.R.E.'s sell and im gonna have mine pretty low. But def love both of your cars!

chassed or theZ06 -- Can and will either of you post some pics of the front wheel and how it sits/pokes at the fender? I'm really curious to see how the 2" lip in front makes the wheel sit in the stock fender. I'm also debating either a 1" or 2" flared rear fender so I could potentially run an even larger lip on these wheels. Thanks in advance guys.

I'll have to check when I get home, so I can add it to my "Cool STORY" that chassed loves
