Default 03 Z Plugs

When I bought my car I had several items done at the dealership to get it all brought up to a standard. I also found it had several issues that were not suppose to be there and the selling dealer stopped returning calls and stalled long enough that Ebay would not even take negative feedback.

At any rate I know the motor was replaced under warranty so the plugs should not have the mileage shown (approx 93k) but I am thinking I might changed the plugs before I head out on a couple of the planned trips this year to the factory and Funfest.

I normally use NGK plugs, but I also use AC Delco alot on my GM cars.

Does anyone else use anything else and see any real benefit with them?

On a stock motor, OEM plugs are the best. Get some Platinum AC Delcos and call it a day.

I like the NGKs, but AC Delcos are fine as well. The coppers are fine if you plan on changing them regularly.

I run NGK TR55, with the understanding they have to be changed more frequently. If you want to leave them in for 50k+ miles, go with Iridium plugs.

You're right... I didn't mean Platinum. I meant Iridium.

I would suggest NGK's unless you have the money to buy Beru plugs and nology wires which can be around 330bucks. I run NGK's with a basic performance wire and im happy. As far as the Beru/nology setup you have to get both if you want to run beru plugs. Reason being is they are non-resistance plugs and the wires them selves have a built in capacitor, so either part is not really compatible with standard plugs/wires. Are they worth the money? probably not.. you might gain maybe 5 hp at the most. Either way go with GM or NGK iridiums.

What gap are you with NGK TR55 plugs running on a stock car?

They come pre-gapped and dont touch them. The electrode will digg into your gapping tool and snap the electrode.
