I had the hood of my 2001 Corvette up the other day for some cleaning and noticed the wire harness for my under hood light was unplugged. This wire and plug are towards the front of the hood on the passenger side. As I plugged it in I also noticed another wire with the same type plug end laying further down inside the car right below where the underhood light plugs in. I reached down and the wire was actually long enough to pull it up to look at it. I tried to find where it would plug in but couldn't find anything. Can someone tell me where this might plug in? All my lights on the front of the car seem to be working alright and the under hood light seems to work fine with the first wire plugged in. I had the front end painted a few months back. If the body shop left it unplugged I sure can't find where it goes.
I don't believe my car has an outside temp readout anywhere in the instrument panel. Is this used in the climatic control system and since my car doesn't have that option maybe they just leave it laying loose?
