Default Do I really want to do it?

I am off on the side of the road at 49,999 miles and just can't bring myself to go that extra mile!

2 more months to the day and that would be 50,000 miles of DD in 11 years (shows how much I drive every day). Bought it new 9/23/00 and it has never been out of town (however it did spend almost two months total in the service bay at the Dealership during that time) Do I really want to turn over 50,000 miles?

You gotta get past 50,000 to get to 300,000.

Default Simple

Just do it - you won't see a difference - will still run and look the same.

This is exactly how I feel. Can't take pride in driving a sports car unless you drive it like one. Only way to do that is to put miles on it and get seat time!

Funny. I felt the same way when I hit the high 49,900's. Was I surprised when the the big "50" hit, it felt amazing. Car still runs and looks good.

I hope I feel the same way when I hit "50".

HAHA... "Big 50"

You say that like the car is "over the hill"... 50 is pretty much the new 25. (Maybe younger!)

Buy a tow truck and load it up and drive that until you can get comfortable with going that extra mile.

Do it, go the extra mile - then you can continue on your way to that 100K mark.

Why not? You're gonna ask the same question at 99,999 and 199,999 and 299,999 ....

it's just like a birthday. you are technically (and actually) a year older on that date, but you certainly don't feel any different that day then you did the day before and you do the next day!!

OK... I took the plunge... I have put 100,000 miles on several Corvettes in the past, but never drove one more than 4 years - I guess 11 years is the bigger concern.

Yeah, but it took you over nine and a half hours to go one mile! I think it might be time for new plugs.
