I am off on the side of the road at 49,999 miles and just can't bring myself to go that extra mile!
2 more months to the day and that would be 50,000 miles of DD in 11 years (shows how much I drive every day). Bought it new 9/23/00 and it has never been out of town (however it did spend almost two months total in the service bay at the Dealership during that time) Do I really want to turn over 50,000 miles?
This is exactly how I feel. Can't take pride in driving a sports car unless you drive it like one. Only way to do that is to put miles on it and get seat time!
Just do it - you won't see a difference - will still run and look the same.
it's just like a birthday. you are technically (and actually) a year older on that date, but you certainly don't feel any different that day then you did the day before and you do the next day!!
OK... I took the plunge... I have put 100,000 miles on several Corvettes in the past, but never drove one more than 4 years - I guess 11 years is the bigger concern.

Yeah, but it took you over nine and a half hours to go one mile! I think it might be time for new plugs.
