Default Beware

After months of trying to resolve I am putting out a "Beware Of Notice".

Purchased four carbon fiber splash guards from Lewis Five Motor Sports. When they were "finally" received over a month from the date promised, the workmanship was poor to be kind. Pin holes and distortion in each and every one.
Called and was told to ship back and as long as they hadn't been installed and were not damaged they would provide me with a standard set and credit me through Paypal with the difference. Would also ship out the standard set within a week.
Well weeks went by and no splash guards. Was told can't find your order etc. etc. Finally, they arrived weeks late, that's beingextremely kind, but no rebate on the difference. After calls and emails was told by Susan that they would credit my paypal on the following Monday. Well its been three Mondays and more calls and emails with no communication or credit on their part.
So from my limited dealings with this (company???) BEWARE - Has been going on since JANUARY!
I HAVE THE TPE FRONT AND REAR FLARES AND EXPERIENCED GOOD COMMUNICATION AND THE PRODUCT WAS GREAT!

what a bunch of losers. I see this more and more with businesses and vendors each day. When are they gonna get it through their heads, customer service is #1 and a viral post on the net can destroy your company fairly quickly. I hate it when I have to play the "*******" card beause of poor customer service but its all one can do at times to get treated with respect. GL, hope this all works out for you!

Too bad that they don't have more regard for their customers.

I feel for ya...lately it's been a crap shoot when dealing with these small businesses on the forum. A fancy website is no guarantee you'll get what you want...some of these aftermarket morons are low budget back alley pseudo businesses. Thanks for the warning on this one.

First of all Lewis Five Motor Sports is not a forum vendor. Secondly, I have had extremely good experiences with the vendors here.

I have read about the L5 fenders and dealt directly with L5MS for the splash guards. Didn't realize they were no longer fourm vendors. Now have their merch. on forum through forum vendor(s)

Bottom line is this should not be a reflection on any of the forum vendors - just L5MS.

I had a very similar experience with Lewis5 a few months ago, many promises of "It will ship tomorrow" which went on for weeks. I just assumed they were having a rough patch but it seems like maybe this is there new standard of service.

Also, my passenger side splash guard didn't fit for chit and I had to sand it a lot to get it close but it's not perfect.

Most all vendors are great, but just as one goes bad, it's the squeaky wheel to all of us. We expect to be treated as a customer standing in front of their counter. Just Google: JTkillain And you'll see what bad vendors are, Crazy ! This bad mouthing and insults aimed at me when I still had a C3. And took place in 1999 ! Twelve years already. This guy is about as wild, Arrogant and ignorant as they come. He doesn't have bad Customer Service, he hasn't any. He even keeps a list pinned up next the women taking orders and it's a list of "WHO NOT TO SELL TO. I chalk it up to watching too many episodes of 'Law & Order'

Thanks for sharing the "experience" with us all. Such a shame when folks behave like this. Thank goodness for the good vendors out there.

Looks like I will keep looking for splash guards as well....

You can fit the C6 set of 4 to your C5. I did a 'how to' on it a couple years ago...should pop up in a search under my name.

Here's a pic of the front...

Here is the rear shown when I did the coilover job...

Get them Gene Culley for best price and service....

Sorry you are having so many problems with them - I thought about getting a set too and guess I'll pass at least for now. Forum vendor APsis has a similar set, but they are more expensive.
