Reif Winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake hosted their annual Corvette Car Show on Sunday, Juyly 24, 2011.
Many were in attendance at the show which has grown to include more than just Corvettes.
Dave Tatman, Plant Manager of Bowling Green Assembly accepted an invitation to attend the show. He brought along with him a 638 HP Velocity Yellow 2012 Corvette ZR1. As I understand it, his Corvette is one of the first fifty 2012 model year Corvettes assembled at the plant. He tells me that he and 49 other members of his Corvette Product Team have been driving these cars in the real world in an effort to gauge and confirm the changes that have been made to the Corvette for 2012. His Corvette is equipped with beautiful Michelin Pilot Sport Cup Tires.
Congratulations on a job well done, Dave. Good luck to you with, as you put it, "the best job in the world". It was good to meet you.
To Lewis and Cheryl with their '73 Ontario Orange Corvette, good to see you again.
The weather was great and the cars were beautiful. Here is a peek:

I liked the pix of the 1957 BMW I-snit-ah 300 - when I was a young man working at my dad's gas station we had 2 of them as regular customers - I don't remember what the drivers looked like but I remember the cars like it was yesterday

To think he gets paid for that
BRB I have to go find my guidance counselor who said jobs like that don't exist! Or maybe she meant I wasn't smart enough to get them, never mind.
