You guys have helped me trouble shoots lots of situations and save me lots of $$$ by learning how to do things myself. THANKS!!
Now, I have a new frustrating situation, usually I am able to google search and resolve these on my own - but not this one. a few months ago, I brought the vette to Valvoline for a oil change (synthetic) and they suggested a new filter and a flush. Since it has been 6 years since I had a coolant flush i said do it. A day later, I noticed leaking on my garage floor and I brought it back in the next day - they tightened the hose clamp and said its good to go. The next day my low coolant flashed on DIC. I do know this is very sensitive (usually when parked at an angel) so I really didnt think it was a problem. But It continues - I brought it back in a week later and they said all is fine. I brought it in last week (because it comes on always), and the guy said it was a quart low - filled it up - and off I went. 10 minutes later the low coolant on DIC came on. After I am driving a bit it will flash off, but only to come on again. I am really stumped. Anyone have this problem? I don't want something serious to go wrong.
I would really appreciate any suggestions.

Side note, the oil change place I use refused to do the coolant flush. The technician said they had a Dexcool rated fluid (had Dexcool in it), but he recommended staying with Dexcool.
Not related to your current problem, but I thought was interesting. My oil change place does mostly high end cars and exotics. Thought it was refreshing they'd recommend something that cuts them out of $$$$.
I had a similar problem with my washer fluid sensor saying it was low for a week straight. I pulled it out and cleaned it off and the problem went away. I would recommend cleaning the sensor as the first point to troubleshoot. Good luck, the messages can get pretty annoying when they pop up while driving every 10 minutes or so.
I don't know if you can purchase a new low level sensor for the surge tank or not but the new tanks, come with it already installed and last I looked, a new surge tank was about $50.
is accessing and cleaning the sensor a difficult procedure?
Honestly I'm not familiar with the location of the coolant sensors. The one for the windshield washer fluid was in the back of the tank and pulled straight out. No screwing or anything it was just pressure fitted into a rubber grommet. I'll take a look and see if I can spot any coolant sensors for you later today.
