In my 04Z I experience some feedback in the trans at high RPMs when I shift fast with my MGW shifter. I replaced the fluid last year with Royal Purple MAX ATF. Would the Synchromax be a better choice in the manual transmission?
I don't believe its the clutch or transmission itself. The clutch fluid has been changed several times because I know what the consequences are. The car only has 14k miles on it and I do not beat the snot out of her.
I had basically the same experience. I was at the point where I thought I could "fix" the notchy shifting, by doing tweeks. I did the anti-venom mod, and then replaced all my fluids with RP. I couldn't tell any difference in the smoothness of shifting at all. I now have the latest MGW shifter, and a strong twin disc clutch, and have resigned myself to the resistance when shifting through the neutral gate.
