[Z06] What did you do to your Z06 TODAY??

Installed the trunk partition and Vette tray today. Man, what a difference the partition makes on the cabin noise.
These items are extremely lightweight and fit really well. I highly recommend these items to anyone who has a Z06 who hates the tire noise on rough or concrete type roads. Makes a huge difference.

Really? I haven't done mine yet, but from what I've read, most say it's ez, except for the #8 plug. Maybe it's like a "simple bolt-on"...which rarely is

Trying to get this thing up and running for an event in Austin next month. Now I just need to find someone with a tig welder, or suck it up and buy one myself to fab up a couple intercooler pipes, and modify my radiator cradle.
Successfully primed the engine with some break in oil (and my home made priming vessel didn't blow up, so that's a plus)
Got the full exhaust on and realized how ugly the mufflers are. I'll have to mod my B&B's to fit later on down the road. The focus is getting it running now.
Installed the A-pillar pod and wired in the gauges (fuel pressure, wideband, and boost). I'd highly recommend AGAINST a 3 pod in the c5. Install and serviceability really sucks.
Gapped and installed spark plugs.
Setup my vacuum manifold and installed all the fittings and sensors.
Made a harness and ran it for the external fuel pump, but waiting on a maxi-fuse holder.
Installed blower belt and tensioned (man, its scary tight).
Bypassed steering cooler.
Really all that is left if modding the cradle, finishing the wiring for the external pump, installing the intake, valvecovers and coils, and making intercooler piping.

It's getting the stock boot off each plug that is a bitch. I ordered a special tool to grab them and used leverage to pop them off. The plugs themselves were easy and the new boots pop on and off easy...

I've got an autocross this weekend, so I've been prepping the Z. My stainless steel brake lines came in today so I can finally strip it down and completely flush the brake fluid out, and change the pads, and clean the damn rotors. I got this car a couple of months ago with 70K miles and I don't think the fluid's been changed once. I've been pulling it out of the reservoir and refilling it lately (same with the clutch), but the **** that drained out of the caliper is just rank.

The largest of this set, and a long 3/8ths" extension to add leverage.and "pop" them off.....

this thread is dying, nearly a month since the last post... I'm going through some of my valvetrain again... replacing the comp trunnions with straub and replacing my pushrods with some manton 11/32's... got the rockers and old pushrods removed this afternoon, going to rebuild the rocker trunnions tomorrow or Monday then get it back together

Finished yesterday with install of a RPS Triple Carbon Clutch, also rebuilt the Torque Tube with new bearings and DSS Poly Couplers, installed an oil cooler and a Hoosier Tranny Brace. What a job, probly 30-40 hours total. New clutch feels way different, bites hard.

for anyone that has replaced the stock trunnions with comps"upgrade" kit I suggest you get them out... after another member pointed out a premature wear issue to me I decided to just swap mine out, I rebuilt the rockers this afternoon and this is what mine looked like after only about 10k miles of use
I started a thread in the tech section documenting this issue, https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...s-of-pics.html

It's satisfying feeling when after working on your car to take it for a test drive and have everything is working as it should...

As for the lil lady, I'm slowly converting her to the grease monkey lifestyle. Baby steps!
