We prototyped this mount on our 02 Zo6 630rwhp with great success. Now we are making it available for other C5/C5 Zo6 owners.
LUX Trans/Differential mount (LUX TDM)
Designed for the C5 Corvette, SacCityCorvette’s SuperDuty LUX TDM will stabilize the C5 Corvette Trans/Diff and help eliminate drive train shutter that feels like wheel hop. The LUX TDM has a large amount of Polyurethane to minimize noise and vibration making it comfortable for street driving yet stout and firm enough to keep the Trans/Diff stabilized during hard launches, power shifting, racing or just spirited driving. The stock rubber mount is very soft and allows a substantial amount of movement especially with any type of power adders and Drag Radials/Slicks. Keep that Trans /Diff where it belongs with the LUX TDM!
Tig Welded for extra strength.
Powder Coated for protection.
Grade 8 & 10.9 Hardware for strength.
Installed with your factory 2 nuts & 2 bolts.
Made In The USA!

Ha, thanks! Forgot I had a few pics on my phone. I'm no expert but the wheels are ZR1 style and are 295f and 305r....may be wrong on the fronts but I was basically licking the back wheels I was so excited they were meaty.

The LUX Mount is over 1/2 Pound lighter then the stock mount.

Burning Brakes
Today I cut terminal 87 off of relay 38 and 40 in the passenger footwell fuse box to eliminate the DRLs. Who is the *** at GM that decided the cover for that box should be printed upside down btw? Gets me Every. Freakin. Time. I'm also starting on the LPE battery relocation kit I've had sitting here for months. Should be fun and not done tonight...

they help prevent drivetrain shake which can kill your trans/diff... I ran one for a few years and I liked it, it's pricey but the best mount on the market for the c5 in my opinion... I only removed mine because I did a tr6060 swap and couldn't use it anymore

Burning Brakes
Today marks the one year anniversary of buying my Z. She's been in hover mode for winter storage, having things done here and there (many fewer than I intended) over the winter.
Today I made more progress on my battery relocation, but more importantly, I took her off jack stands and put the wheels and tires back on. Put her on the ground, and fired her up for the first time in months. Tomorrow we go to work together. I can't wait! Wait...I can't wait to go to work? This must mean I'm getting old.
Sadly, I have active handling codes again. I cleared the dic, but they came right back. Some of the dash is apart awaiting a VN bezel, and the cc is out as well. I'm hoping that's why, but I see no reason those things would cause it. Hopefully this isn't another season of trying in vain to keep those codes from coming back.

Drifting
oceandgone, depending on the code, it could be the steering wheel position sensor. I dealt with recurring AHC's and the problem was the SWPS. By the way it's a easer fix then it looks.
As for my car, I'll be removing the wheels and having them rebalance, the tires have slipped on the rims (tire mounting lube slip).
Mark.

Back in a C5 Z06, picked it up a few months ago. So far I got the paint buffed to remove water spots that were everywhere, and I just swapped the factory valve springs out for the blue ones.
On the short list:
-get my new tires mounted (Toyo T1S)
-DIY alignment to my specs
-get new spark plug wires on it
-get an oil catch can on it
-add aux input to the factory radio
-maybe fix the "reveal moldings" as they are cracked
No plans for any real mods, these cars are really pretty good and make me happy with just a few tweaks.

Finally got it home, between Nor'easters. Got it in the driveway, drank beer and admired the curves for a few hours. Then backed her in to the garage.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. Last summer I kept getting a code for the left front wheel speed sensor, typically after a wash. I pulled the grounds and the sensor connector apart and cleaned and lubed them. Seemed to help. Haven't dug into this any farther yet. I feel like this is different, but we'll see...

Took mine over to the shop and gave it a good wash to rid it of the pollen that seems to never go away. Pollen on black is not a good look. The cover is going on until I take it out for Easter next week.
