Been raining the past few weekends, so I have been picking away at finally getting the Z06 out of her long winter hibernation. Finished her spring detail tonight. Ready for the 2019 season! Washed, polished, glazed, waxed, and topped with my favorite spray sealant.

My friend's son has a show car that Adam's Polishes sponsors, and he gets free product from them. I am usually gifted with extra stuff they have a lot of. One of the things I received was their Finishing Polish. I have tons of various polishes from Poorboy's World, Meguiar's, Blackfire, Sonus, and 3D, but I thought I would try the Adam's stuff this time around. I was actually VERY impressed! I only used mild Lake Country green foam "medium" polishing pads, but they worked perfectly with the Adam's polish. Adam's claims to have SiO2 in the polish, so I am not sure if that is what made it work so well. I had some hard water spots on my windows after washing, so I used the Adam's polish on them as well. They are now the clearest and glossiest windows ever. LOL

How you gonna make a post like that and not show us the windows?!

btw, I love polished glass. It's an annual ritual for me to polish the windows

LOL! I plan on doing a full photoshoot when the weather clears up. Currently thunderstorms and hail outside. I hope to get her out for a local show on Saturday.

Same here. I am pretty OCD about my car windows. I need them as clean as possible. I polish the outside, then seal them with Rejex. Keeps them clear and hydrophobic. On the inside, once I have them clean, I give them a wipe down with the Bead Maker. The spray sealant does a good job of keeping them from fogging up when the humidity and temperature changes.

Installed fresh suspension pieces. New upper ball joints, fresh wheel hubs, sway bar endlinks, and coilovers. Coilovers need some slight dialing but loving the new suspension feel.

Another rainy weekend coming up, so I had to take her out on a Tuesday evening while the weather is good. Saw quite a few locals out in their musclecars, so everyone must have had the same idea.

My old C5 Z06.

My new C7 Z06.
I finally made the trade. Traded in my 2004 C5 Z06 for a 2016 C7 Z06. Trying to get used to the 650hp, it’s a riot!

Default My c6

I washed my car and cleaned my engine. Then I tried the meguiars hyper dressing on my engine and tires. The ceramic hybrid wax on the car . I must say it looks great. I used about 4:2 ratios on the engine and left it on overnight. Tires full strength.

I am a fan of Meg's Hyper Dressing. Buuuuut, you are in a C5 Z06 thread. Just an FYI.

I put a new set of B&B Quad Bullets back on it today.
I had a set on it before and sold them and tried the PRT’s.
The PRT’s didn’t have any drone, but just didn’t have that awesome muscle car sound the bullets do.
The drone is a trade off, but with the 6 speed I can mostly stay out of the drone rpm zone.

Replaced the radio antenna mast last night. This is all that remained of the old one:

I suspect a previous owner may have done the power antenna retrofit (there are butt splice connectors under the carpet in the trunk area for it), but unsure because my Z06 is a 2001... perhaps it came with power antenna.

Think that might be an oops of scrolling down too fast, forum puts related threads it thinks are similar below the last page and not even always same section. Ive made that mistake before.

Installed AFE/Pfadt Johnny O Connell Sway Bars to go with my featherlight coilovers. Had them powder coated red because I couldn’t live with the yellow they come in lol.

Finally got enough break-in miles on the forged 402 stroker to switch over to synthetic.
Drained the Joe Gibbs BR30 and filled with 7 quarts of Joe Gibbs LS30 and a new AC Delco filter today, as recommended by Vengeance Racing. Should be good-to-go through the rest of driving season this year.

I drove the hell out of it. One hell of a road, Hillsboro NM to Silver City NM. Finally got the oil temp over 220.

Default Sound deadening rear inner fenders

Ended up carpeting both sides of the rear inner fenders. Took them out cleaned them up, put a coat of under coating on the non visible side then carpeted both sides with "carpet" they sell at AutoZone. I'd compare it to speaker box carpet. Turned out good, looks factory. And best part, noticable improvement in sound (less) in the cabin.
