I have a 2000 C5 with original, magnesium wheels, tires.and tpms's. I am going to get new tires and chrome wheels. I am going to purchase new tpms's. Question is should i buy oem ones or is aftermarket ones such as schrader etc just as good?

Depends on the price difference but I like OEM stuff.

Why not re-use the original ones? That is what I did and they are perfectly fine!

Thanks,Matt

The schrader ones are almost half the price. New oem ones are around $150 vs $75 each. Im keeping the original wheels and tires intact. Still in good shape, just 11 yrs old and not sure how long they are safe and suppposedly batteries are past due for failure.

I purchased Schrader replacements and they function just fine.
