I must misunderstand the purpose of this forum. I was under the impression that we were to help each other with problems and issues with our cars. I must be wrong.
I continued on a post from a fellow member asking opinions on rather a PCM tune was worth the expense on a stock C5 M6. I read the opinions and decided that I would try it and let my fellow members know what my thoughts were afterwards.
That done, I stated that I was disappointed with the actual performance aspect of the mailin tune.
The shop that did the work saw my post and gave me a full refund--that I did not request or expect. Because I had such a favorable experience with the shop, I post what happened on this forum with full knowledge and blessings from the shop.
I then get a notice that the thread is closed and I can't post anything about a refund unless I have a problem with a refund.

What I'm I missing here? I thought forum members would be pleased to know about a shop that took an interest in our satisfaction.
We can bitch about a shop but not praise one????

Perhaps it wasn't the fact that you praised the shop but maybe something that was said regarding what the shop did that may have been taken out of context. There are plenty of times forum members will post that a vendor, shop, member etc was helpful.

PS, glad it worked out with the shop and yourself

My suggestion is if you are questioning the moderation or administration of the forum - you should not post it in the open. You will get a direct response to your questions or comments if you private message (PM) one of the moderators or administrators. This thread will more than likely be locked down.

We can't question the almighty moderators publicly?

I can answer and I will - first of all the your post is not C5 related.

Second of all - it violates the Forum Rules and Guidelines....so here is the rule as posted by one of the two administrators....

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/foru...questions.html

Bottom line - if you are not happy with the rules and want to challenge them, take the discussion to a PM. Good luck, and I think you will need it based on the direction that this is headed.

I know what you are saying and I agree, So many times a thread is closed without any reason, Some are obvious and some are not, I am sure this one will be closed also.

I didn't say anything about the shop giving you their permission or not. I said MAYBE you stated something that could have been taken out of context regarding the you and the shops experience. Threads ARE closed if it breaks the rules. Based on your responses in this thread, you seem very accusatory and hostile. Chill out, you will feel better .

Complaints, Suggestions & Questions
If you have suggestions for the improvement of the Forum, questions or criticism of the Forum or its moderation, you are welcome to PM or e-mail a moderator. Please do not use an open thread for such messages, however.

That would include, but is not limited to discussions about who has been banned and why.

The work on the Forum's volunteer moderators is difficult enough without having folks calling them out in open threads.

FYI I posted to the thread when I closed it.

You only posted you were getting a refund and not that you received a refund. If you read the posts in the thread all it did was open up several questions. So I closed it as it was going no where other than opening up lots of questions.

Please take some time and read the rules section.
