Default Extra money :))

So what would you guys do with about an extra 1000 bucks? I'm debating to upgrade my k&n to a vararam and my manifold to an ls6, or maybe buy custom creations c6 style rear bumper, or maybe save up a little more and upgrade rims. Already have full exhaust so cant do that.

Go for the rims. A new set of wheels will make a huge difference in the looks of the car.

Default How many miles

While the wheels would made a big and difference. SAVE FOR REPAIRS - no one will see the repairs if the car isn't running

Rims are a very good bang for the buck and really set a car apart from the crowd. Also, having a repair fund ready is always a great idea too.

Are you going to need maintenance anytime soon? Think brakes, tires, etc. Hows the ride, you can do some new shocks for half that installed. If everything is fine then I'd say either rims (plenty on forums from vendors such as JWMotoring.com for under a grand, not including tires) or maybe the intake stuff as you mentioned. If you can do some of the work and find deals on the parts for the rest you can get a mail order tune thrown in for the grand along with the intake parts. A tune isn't "needed" for those parts but vettes and probably high mileage ones can usually benefit from a good tune regardless.

The car has brand new nittos all the way around. Baer breaks in front. Already have chrome c5 z06 rims so that's why I'm iffy about that. Gonna get sway bars and shocks for Christmas . I'm really really considering that England green cam. One thing is I do not know what this statement here means, Duration in the mid 240s

If you're considering a cam, it's gonna be hard to get it done for under $1000.
these are some of the approximate costs I can remember when I did mine.
cam=300
springs/retainers/clips=250
ls6 ported oil pump=100
timing chain=25 for ls2, a lot more for a double roller setup
gaskets/seals=40
hardened pushrods=120
tune=500 (I avoided this cost because I tinker with my own tunes with hptuners)

so I would say $1300 is a starting point if you do everything yourself except for tuning.
