mirror map light
1998 C5. before I break anything, please let me know how to change the bulb under the rear view mirror on the drivers side. I can see the clear lens but I am not sure how that pops open. I don't want to crack anything.

Question: How do I remove the map light lenses on the mirror – I don’t want to break the plastic cover? The bulbs are 212-2's.
Answer: Put a small flat head screwdriver into the base of the lens cover. Gently pry down to remove the cover. Looking at the shop manual the clips at the bottom of the lens behind the indentation. Getting the screwdriver in far enough should pop the clip.
