Had a Win/Win/Win yesterday....
Picked up a few more HP, increased gas mileage noticeably, and smoothed out my idle....not to mention great improvement in throttle response. How did I do it? Simple no cost maintenance. Cleaned inside the throttle body, MAF sensor, and air filters (I run a dual cone). After 15 years of service the throttle body was heavily gummed up inside...I was amazed at how much gum and deposits came off. I followed the directions exactly as instructed on the CRC products...works very well. Took me about 3 hours counting the "natural dryout" of the air filters, and trying to remember exactly how all these parts go back together! I am going to take a picture of the engine and post it in my garage so next year I won't have to go through that again.

CRC products...in a spray can at most auto parts stores...I am sure Autozone sells them. Get a can of each...MAF cleaner and Throttle Body cleaner....they are chemically different and formulated specifically for each job. Hold the MAF sensor in your hand and, while being very careful you don't break the tiny platinum wires, spray both sides of the part until all discoloration is gone. Regarding the throttle body, use a mirror to see inside (unless your neck is very long) , no need to remove the TB...spray short bursts then wipe with a clean paper towel; keep repeating until all the gum is removed....wiggle the plate while spraying too. Sop up any puddles of solvent at the bottom as you go....may not be a good idea to burn that stuff through the engine. Go take a ride and feel the new power.
