Has anyone noticed/experienced a sort of acrid smell in their Corvette? Sort of like a heat related smell OR a type/combination of cleaning agents? I know Armorall is not the best smelling material.
Just curious.
Check the passenger side carpet to make sure it's dry. It's been hot up here in the NE. and if you haven't cleaned your udders, or ac drain it may be the cause of the odor.

I had a blocked ac drain several years ago, I got lucky, only damp carpet. Pulled the carpet, and backing set it in the driveway, and put a fan blowing into the car to dry everything then put it back together.
Great reading for everyone.
I can check, tho' I doubt its that, just because of the way the owner takes care of the car. And he doesn't use the a/c that much.
If he washes his car and the udders are blocked then it will leak into the car. Water will also flood the wiped motor. If you haven't read the link I posted, please read it. I clean mine out once a year and my car is garaged.
Possible mold in carpet or material pad under carpet. Need to lift up carpet in areas of the vette looking for any signs of mold and smell. Hard to say, does he wash the vette a lot, could be a leak. I had a bad smell from the vents on my Ram 1500, found out it was condensation in the vent after AC was used without proper venting. I sprayed Lysol into the intake and let it sit for a few days. Also ran AC off with just vent flow on prior to parking vehicle (turn off AC a few blocks before parking in drive way), help eliminated the odor. Good luck.
This is very interesting, and definitely worth a look. Since I wont be ready to drop the hammer $$$ till early October, I have lots of time to look and compare.
Yes when it has been sitting outside in the extreme heat for a few hours, as it is a daily driver. Takes a mile or so with AC on to take that smell out. It's never that way in the garage even during the break at lunchtime I only live a few miles from home. Never notice it in the winter either. It's certain has a silicone type smell to it.
