wondering if any of you purchased and installed the leather console lid covers sold at the store?
Were you satisfied with the product. Was this just a slip over install ?
I got one from MidAmerica, it was a slip over that was held in place by the covers screws and dbl sided tape. It looked good and had a good amount of padding which was nice. It didn't take too long and it had a permanent dent in it from my elbow which I didn't like so I sold it.
I use RedlineGoods products. The console cover install is easy: Remove lid. Remove "under" lid top. Stretch cover over top. Replace "under" top. Replace lid. Done.
Fit and materials are great. They can be had in most colors & stitching, padded or not.
Takes about 15 to 20 minutes. make sure you get the right color. I'm not sold on the color I chose myself. I'm thinking I should have went went black because now I have to either lose the cover or rethink my scheme.
I've also seen some that the emblem gets dirty, but that easily taken care of with some carpet shampoo on occasion. Also concerned about elbow/arm indentions but it's better than the indentions on the original cover I suppose.
