yank 3000, will it help?

i have a yank 3000 stall ready to go in my c5 conv. what kind of gain should i see at the track? car is stock with 273 gear and went 8.48 at 87mph on gto front and 255 60 16 mt radials. 1.95 60ft. will i loose any driviability with this converter? will car need to be tuned? thanks guys

I have a 3000 stall in mine, but also have 3.42 gears, works great, 1.6 ish 60' times....previousley was getting 1.90 ish....

I wouldn't waste my time with having 2.73 gears, Now if you were to do gears and stall would be good.
