Default Road Trip

Any one that has taken a short road trip understands I think. Saturday my wife and I went to Columbus Ohio. On the 270 outer belt I was cruising along between 65 and 70 mph minding my own business. It seem like everyone was busting their azz to pass me. Some drivers were even putting the passing ahead of safety by darting between cars just to go around me . Is this me or does everyone experience these type of drivers?

Happens all the time in New Mexico. I just sit back and enjoy the ride, the blonde in the seat next to me and wonderful feeling of the vette.

I was on the highway with my gf not long ago just cruising, and I look in my rear view mirror to see some guy in a Merc SL500 vert weaving in and out of traffic...he gets in the fast lane, as I'm one lane over and he pulls up beside me then paces me...

he looks at me,
I look at him,
I turn and look at my gf,
my gf looks at me then him,
I look back at him,

He then guns it and speeds away...my gf just ask, "what the hell just happened?" I reply..."baby...when you drive a vette that's normal"

People are just nuts out on the road in general no matter what vehicle you're driving.

Nope. I go as fast as the fastest driver on the road. If it's just me I'll go 5-7 over. If someone goes by 15mph I'm right behind him at 15mph over.

Doesn't happen often, but yes, it does happen here too. About all you can do is keep watching out for idiot drivers and just shake your head at their stupidity.

What was the speed limit? I am going to assume 65 or 70. In that case they were not trying to show off that they could pass a Corvette, they were simply driving like most do. 10 MPH over the limit.

I know many think that everyone out there wants to show up a Corvette driver, but in reality it is a small number on the road that are really like that. I live about 2 minutes from a Ferrari Dealership so Ferrari's are a common sight on the road around here. I don't see people trying to pass the Ferrari's or me, except for the occasional yahoo.
