took my 2002 to my mechanic and he said he could install the lights. what a mistake! now looking for someone in upstate sc for help. thanks in advance, Kathyann19
Yes I have talked to radioflyer. He suggested I try to find a body shop in my area, upstate sc to help fix and/or replace some of the parts.
I went to my mechanic shop and they assured me they were very adapt at putting these lights in. They look terrible. The lenses are scraped and the screws are showing around the lenses. The fit and finish is just awful. Not some thing that makes me proud of my car.
I'm trying my best to get great pictures, George wants to see them also. I'm going to try tonite with artificial light to see if they turn out better.
Look Spielberg,we just want some pics not a production. If you need "artificial lighting" then the **** doesn't seem as horrendous
as you seem to make it out to be. Grab your Walmart digital made in China camera, make sure the flash is on, and click away a few times. It' not a triple heart bypass surgery documetary, just some pics of headlights.

George has sent reply to the pics I sent to him. He says they used their own hardware to install, probably used a chemical abrasive on lenses, did not install with much attention to cosmetics.
Just so you all know George is not at fault for any of this, he is trying to help me and also talked to these installers many times while they were butchering the install. Sorry I haven't gotten pics here yet.

I am tempted to add you as a friend after your spot on comments, very hardcore
To the thread starter, I am really sorry that you got stuck with another retarded shop. You have to do a lot of research before going to shops, 99% are a mess, a rip off, and have no idea what they are doing outside of an oil change maybe. Really upsets me for you. I hate f*ck ups, yet most people are that way.
I dont see how you could mess up an install if it's pretty much a bolt-on and go. I think the OP is being a little high maintenance, such as that if her car has 1 micro-sized rock chip on the front bumper, then the entire front bumper would be ruined. You don't need false light to show us a picture. Just take a pic and post it. This thread is worthless without pics!

You should see how a lot of the vette owners are in general.
Here are a few of the pictures to give you guys an idea of what's going on:
Improper hardware - I included much smaller stainless bolts that could have been mounted further back or on the side of the lens/shroud assembly.
Lens damage: This damage appears to be from an abrasive chemical probably on a rag the shop used to wipe the lens with.
Thankfully, it appears most of the big parts are okay and the fitment is designed to be adjustable. The damage to the lens from the chemicals and miss-mounting however will require them to be replaced. I have advised that the installation shop be charged for the replacements as it is obvious that their workmanship took little advice from the detailed installation instructions that were sent to them.
I would try specialty plastic polish from either the aviation or marine industries, where windshields are typically plexiglass or lexan. Check Sporty's Pilot Shop or West Marine for example. You may be able to "fix" the covers. As I recall 3M has a product. FWIW.
cant you try plastix to see if it'll take that stuff off the lens?
Is this something commonly available or is it pretty much an online-order thing? I have a few extra lenses that were scratched and I was going to scrap them, but i might be able to salvage a few for discounted parts if this works.
