If anyone in NorCal wants to see one of these in action, hit me up. I'd be happy to let you watch as I idle around in Sacramento traffic with temps going over 230. Then with the touch of a button, it magically goes down.

I love mine.

I ordered mine yesterday after watching my water temp climb to 253 F during a extra long stop and go 150 minute trip that normally takes 90 minutes. I had the radiator cleaned out about a month ago by the dealer. I hope this will help this problem because but I will continue to check on normal temp ranges. I can hardly wait to install this device.

Thank you rmreece, we appreciate it!
Make sure you dont have anything blocking your radiator. Our C5's are known for vacuuming stuff up into the front of the radiator. Also, turn on the COOL IT before it gets to hot.

I did check the front of the radiator for obstructions and did not find anything. I also tried to "burb" the radiator, but I don't think that was the problem.

I really think the only problem that was causing the overheating was the coolant level was too low. I filled it with additional coolant to the appropriate mark on the coolant tank and now the engine stays cool.

I did receive and installed the Coolit yesterday so now I have a little more protection in case it does get hot again. I have not tried it on the road yet.

One of the big deciding factors that lead me to buy Coolit is that my 4 year service warranty does not cover damage caused by "overheating" regardless of the reason.

Its nice to have some additional "overheating" insurance to help protect my warranty and Coolit looks like it will do the job. Looks like a great product and was easy to install just like you said.

With a Cool It v2/v3 there is no need to run your A/C to cool the engine, along with all the unnecessary wear and tear and fuel mileage loss that goes along with running the A/C.
