Someone posted a link for one a few weeks ago but I cant find it. I am talking about the one that wires into the factory can-bus. Can anyone link it again?
Really easy to do, should take you about 20 minutes start to finish if you've taken the dash apart before.
I haven't. I just bought my car yesterday, so I haven't done anything on it yet. I may see if tlove32 can walk me through it some time. It can't be that hard. On my Charger I could definitely install it in 20 minutes. I assume you route the cable to the glove box, right?
Guys how is the sound? I ask becuase I went as far as to installing a Kenwood single din head unit that has awesome ipod controls and the sound is not where I'd like it with the factory integration kit. When turned up loud it distords...

My factory integration kit sounded great at all volumes. And my Kenwood also sounded great in my Tahoe! Tahoe sounded better, but I had more into the stereo in it.
I got the iPod adapter in the mail and it appears to be different than the one on DoubleD Mods website. The good news is that it says it supports the newer iPhones and Nano models. I haven't installed it yet, but tlove32 and I are going to put it in on Saturday. The one that is pictured on their website looks like the one I had in my Charger and it didn't support any of the new iPhone or Nano formats. I actually had bought another iPod Video just for the car. But it is nice that it will be able to work with my phone too in case I need a charge.
They shipped me two different items. One appears to be a generic iPod adapter, and then there is a unique harness in a 2nd bag that converts this to the can bus.
I will post up some more information after we get it installed!
I just installed the Isimple kit from DoubleD Mods last night. It was my first time taking apart the dash and it was a major PITA. Not only that but after I tested the link and all was good, I put everything back together and it didn't pass audio. Took it all apart again (but way faster the 2nd time around), rechecked the connections and I was up and running. I didn't like the idea of the Ipod being in the center compartment as it is not a convenient spot, so I popped out the ash tray and routed the cable through the holes behind it. I just prop up the ipod in the drink holder. Sounds great and I can ff and rew from the radio itself if I like. Good luck with your install!
Got mine in with tlove32's help. Actually he did all the work and I was his helper monkey. We routed it to the center console because that is what I wanted. We drilled a small hole towards the back of the console and fed the wire that way. I wanted the installation to be 100% transparent. It works well, and sounds fine. I am very happy so far.

Thanks OP for posting this I broke my old one and needed to order a new one and did not know where to find one as I bought my old one from a member on here.
I took a road trip yesterday and really got to use the iPod adapter for a while. I used my iPhone and I downloaded an application called Telenav GPS Plus. This program works like a normal in dash navigation system, and will turn the music down when giving direction updates just like a factory system when hooked up through the iPod adapter. It also provides maps that look identical to those on a Garmin unit. VERY SLICK! This app just costs $0.99 to download and try out. After the first month they require a subscription, but I believe they have it discounted to $10 for a annual contract. This is a really good solution for me, and will save me money from wanting a new Navigation system.
