oil leak
I have a 2002 coupe with 67000 miles. I had all the fluids changed, idle pulley, and tension pulley, along with a new belt. I am noticing an
oil smell at stop lights. Also, a few drops on the garage floor. The oil pan doesn't appear to be leaking. Where else would you suggest looking. Hate the stains and smell.

How long ago did you hve the fluids changed? If you just had them changed the same day you noticed the problem it could just be that the mechanic spilled a little bit on the engine and failed to clean it off. Pop off the right side rail cover and see if you see any spillage around the valve cover. Just washing/detailing the engine will clean up the mess if this is the issue.

Check your front crankshaft seal behind the harmonic balancer. Just look at the front edge of your oil pan and see if the oil trail leads right up behind the balancer. It's a common issue with the seal being eaten up by road grit and sand. If it is leaking there, go ahead and buy a new harmonic balancer AND seal. 99.9 percent of the time the harmonic balancer has had a deep groove cut into it by the worn out seal.

It has been a month ago. I took the vette to a dealer to check out. I was told it could be the seal around the front block. Very labor intensive. Dealer said that small amounts of oil could be blowing on manifold. Tonite noticed a spot the sice of a quarter on concrete after a wash.

Might check the valve covers also - could be leaking past the gasket.
