Painted tail lights question

I never said I didnt doubt that. I had a girl rearend me before and said my tail lights didnt work. But my flashers were on when the cops arrived and he looked over and said no maam they are working fine. People who rearend others always say that. LoL

Big difference there. Your lights can burn out and you not know it. That is a normal occurrence that can happen to anybody. Willfully covering/painting your lights puts it right back on you.
Your right, people who rear-end others mostly always say that........cause that's why they hit them to start with!! lol

Yes, at least 50% wrong. Ever been in a civil trial when you're getting sued? Remember the lady that got millions because she spilled HER OWN coffee in her lap? The word "willfully" plays a big part in what the outcome will be. Big difference if you blow a fuse and your lights are out. Did you know? Maybe, maybe not. You paint the darn things, on purpose, rendering them less visible by at least 60% - 70% then want to blame the other guy for not seeing you in time? Good luck with that defense!! Probably end up a 50 - 50 deal at best, which means you get nothing from the guy who rear-ended you!!
