Default tachcometer chrome frame

Dear Anybody.
The small piece of chrome or plastic that frames my tach on the instrument panel came loose and fell off. It is not currently interfering with the tach itself but it is distracting and somewhat annoying to look at.
Does anyone know if it is very difficult to remove the instrument panel faceplate so I can glue this back into place?

I do have the shop manuals but I haven't looked it up yet.

Todd

That is a poor glue job for an aftermarket piece. C5 do not come with a chrome or silver trim around the gages.
Try and do a search for cluster removal and see if anyone posted a how to. it is involved a bit since the center console and the knee bolster have to come out, then the steering column will need to be dropped.

It may take a couple of hours to do the first time.

Go to the Vetteessentials.com website. You will find instructions on how remove the instrument cluster and lens. FYI, it involves remove the complete console going all the way back to the center armrest. I've done it. It's not hard and will probably take you about two hours start to finish.
