Default PFADT Coilovers

I've been having issues with my PFADT Coilovers, they're making a clunking sound over bumps. I've spoke to the PFADT employees and all they told me is it shouldn't be happening and told me to go where I got them installed for them to double check them. If anyone knows how to solve this problem before I get in touch with the installers please let me know. Thank you!!!

Make sure that it's not the end links.
Disconnect them & see if the noise is gone.

mine did the same thing after installing them. I checked everything. Turned out the top mounting nut was not tight enough, once i tightened it up all the noises went away.

I would go with the top nut being loose. It only needs to be 75 IN/LBS though. Use some blue lock tite too. Tighten while the car is on the ground.

Be real, real carefull not over tightening those two nuts.
75 in.lbs is equivelent to only (6.25 ft.lb)

This seems to be a very common problem with PFADT coils. I purchased a set, put them on and noticed the noise on the right rear side. I contacted the manufacturer (customer service was great, btw) and they asked for pics. Sent over the pics and they sent me four newly designed mounts, new hardware and two rear shock bodies for replacement.

After the new hardware, the sound still continued so I decided to rule out other parts. I thought it may be my STS charge pipes hitting the rear fenders, well since then I have gone to a Novi 2000 kit and sold the STS kit. The sound is still there!!!

Then last weekend I disconnected and removed the rear sway bar, zipped tied the end links and drove the car around, and the clunking is still there.

Sorry for the long post but does anyone have different advice. I will be contacting the company soon...

If the front coilover shock bolts/nuts are loose, it could make a noise in the front. Or top shock nut loose.
If the top shock rear bolts come loose , or possible broken weld that holds the nuts on top of the upper mounting base,(2 on ea side) it could make noise back there.
Front upper a arm bolts loose.
Rear upper a arm bolts loose.
That pretty much covers all the areas it could be, if all the Pfadt parts are new & installed in there propper positions.

Check to see if the spring are firly seated in the perches too. They can come loose when lifting the wheel off the ground.
