Service Column Lock
Car runs great, parked it out in the driveway this afternoon, to do some much needed through garage cleaning and organizing. When i went to fire her up to put it back into the garage, I got the dreaded "pull key wait 10 seconds message" did that, and got the even more dreaded "service column lock" message.
I, not sure if the previous owner did a recall or clb on the vette, BUT i do have a new GM Delco professional series battery voltage is perfect, I checked the torque on the baterry terminal posts, good. And pulled fuse 23 to reset the bcm. Ran codes and no codes.
My coupe has a six speed, no steering wheel lock, and i took the car out on a spin, and the fuel shutoff (thank god) didnt kick in or stall the engine.
At a loss what to do now. Keep driving it and reset the dic every time i start it up. or God forbid, bring it to the stealership as the owners manual suggests. Welcome all and any suggestions as always. Ken
