Ok, thanks to all for your responses. Funny thing was, I don't think I asked for opinions in general, just if there was anything unique out there. I am aware of the standard issue grilles and louvers, and while I do not think they are bad in any way, I would not put them on my car. The car in the post above looks good with the color match. I just wanted to see if anyone knew of anything better. I actually do not dislike the stock tail lights at all and will probably stay stock. Once again, thanks to all.
[QUOTE=Blitzkrieg;1578583799]These are Euro's that are flush mounted
So each taillight has a back up lens as well? If so what happens to your regular backup light? How is the fit of the flush mounts? I read somewhere that there is less dust/dirt buildup around the lens cavity?
Okay, I know this is an older thread, but I just picked up a gorgeous, 2004 convertible, 24:00 of Le Mans commemorative edition with just 47K miles three weeks ago. Pristine and stock condition (save for an after-market Kenwood stereo) inside and out. So, I wanted to dress her up a bit and bought some chrome louvers, but after reading the general consensus amongst my fellow enthusiasts here, decided that maybe it was a bit dated and not necessary, so I took them off. That said, here's a pic of what it looked like with them on. I did get compliments on them - albeit, from non-vette owners, but... Btw, this is my 3rd Vette, the other two being a C3 (1982) and a C4 (1985). Cheers!
So, now available, every piece of stick on off-shore crap available for the C5 Corvette in kit form. So, this kit will include tail light louvers and the license plate/back up light thing (your choice of styles), rear side marker rings and mesh pieces for the front, side and rear and one of those ultra-tacky exhaust plates that screams glue-on chest hair.
So, for those of you not happy that the exterior of your car only being identified as a Corvette in about 7 (or more) places, I'll also be throwing in an ultra-tacky vinyl Corvette logo (in your choice of colors) for the top of the windshield. So, one stop shopping to convert your car into an instant ricer-mobile!
So, but wait! So, if you order now I'll also be throwing in a set of those stick on Buick-type fender portholes, a can of Plasti Dip that has no business being sprayed on a Corvette along with a set of day-glo wiper arms (not stick on) AND a set of fender hash stripes to complete the look!
So, addendum: So I had a potential customer ask me why caliper covers were not part of the package. So, this was strictly an oversight. So, they are included now, your choice of color.
New member bumps a 10-year-old thread just to post a picture of tail light louvers that he ended up taking off his car anyway. We live in strange times, my friends.
Anyway, glad you decided to remove them. The painted ones look tacky enough, but the chrome ones shown look just god-awful. They make your car look like you crashed into an Auto Zone and hit every accessory aisle. Corvettes aren't Buick LeSabres. Keep that pretty blue C5 clean and tasteful.
