Default Cold air intake system

Does anybody make a cold air intake system for a C5 that uses a paper filter, NOT an oil bath filter?

I think AEM has a "dry-flow" filter option for their CAI.

Chevy does. Your car should have been delivered with one.

Yeah, but they're probably real expensive. I think the OP should look for an aftermarket product.

Zip-tie mod. I think I saw a post where someone even made a cutout in the radiator shroud and flipped the zip-tie.... If I didn't have an aftermarket set-up thats what I would do with the stock stuff

I don't know why you wouldn't want one you had to oil.

Good question, but the reason to go to a CAI in the first place is to increase your intake with more air, COLDER air if possible. Reason, cold air is denser and so you get more power per cubic inch volume of air, also CAI offers a cotton fiber air filter, increase air flow and washable so it is also "GREEN" for the environment. All this adds up to a slight improvement in hp. Paper element just can't cut the air flow for performance, if you still want paper, just leave the stock GM setup and be happy.
