Default What's a good tire?

I had seen a post a while bad about what tires seem to be the best on C5 ZO6's however I'm unable to find it, so I thought I would just ask if anyone has anyone had luck with a few I have been looking at.

1. BF Goodrich g-Force T/A KDW NT
2. Nitto NT05
3. Nitto Invo

Thank you for taking the time to look.

I'm running the Hankook Ventus V12 EVO tires on my '03 coupe. So far (about 1K miles), I've been pleased.

Nitto Nt 05s here. I use them only at the track but seem to grip well for a street tire. Also reasonable grip in the wet when new.

Not a simple question, so Rather than telling you what I have.. IM going to tell you this... anyone who tells you what they have and love them , is not thinking of your situation. they are trying to reassure themselves that they made the right choice for their situation.
Here is the deal.. and questions that all of these well meaning member should have asked you before offering you their choice.
what is your budget?
Are you looking for cheap, or you don't care.
Are you looking for performance or longevity.
Everything with a tire is a trade off.
Tires are basically made up of carbon and rubber. the more rubber the better they perform, but do not have the longevity of a touring tire. The more carbon the longer they last but do not perform as well.
Speed rating can be an issue.
If you answer these questions, people with real knowledge about tires in general can point you in the right direction.

Not a simple question indeed. Actually, more like not a simple ANSWER....I am about ready for new rubber so I started internet searching and looking at the reviews in particular. Some have reviews all over the board and others have pretty steady good, or bad, reviews.

But all that gets lengthy and while I think it's easier to just ask the question here, I don't doubt ET is right that people love their tires both to justify their purchase but also because they only have experienced a couple of brands and they probably were so close in performance that the average schmo like me may not be able to tell the difference.

Plus, I am believing each tire in comparisons have trade offs.....such as more wear for less grip, or good in the summer, but not good for all seasons....or great in the rain but forget the snow....whatever.

So, as said, it depends upon your needs, what you do with your car, and where you drive it and what seasons you drive it in....etc. etc....

It really is not a simple answer to this simple question. I'm still wondering wth I want!!....and can afford!

I would like to be about to spend less then 1000 bucks for all 4. I don't take the car to the track much but I would with good proformance but will still last 12000-20000 miles. I only drive in the rain if I get caught out in it but I try and avoid that.

I'm also having trouble finding a place to buy them also. The only ones I have found in a set of 4 are the Potenza RE760 Sport.

I have the toyo t1r on now but I have been told they do not make them anymore and no one seems to have them in stock. If I could find the two rears I would be set because that's all I need to replace but I did not want to mis-match tires.
