Brake Pads

Bill aka ET
They stop better than ZO6 pads and dust less than standard C5 pads.BTW, ET hates Ceramic pads. I tried GM's Ceramic Pads, they warped my stock rotors and stop poorly (you must use high pedal force) and will fade with repeated hard use.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
High ceramic content pads = no dust, pretty wheels all the time and pi$$ poor performance
Soft compound pads = lots of dust and a brake pedal that works.
Personally I like hawk hps or stock pads for street driving. But then I'd much prefer just dusting off the wheels b4 picking up a girl for dinner over picking hers and my teeth out of the door panel of the car that I tboned when the jacka$$ driver ran a red light and I couldn't stop in time. Just my personal preference tho...
Did you try searching on this? You could literally read for days on this topic... Try this: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=site%3Aforums.c...2brake+pads%22
Whatever you get be sure to bed them in properly. Gl

I love these pads! Some people have complained about poor cold performance, but I'm not one of them. The pad's full braking power comes in once they've heated up, and one really good hard step on the brakes seems to bring them up to temp. The stopping power of this pad puts a smile on my face.
I'll admit that it takes some getting used to...so keep that in mind if you consider these pads for your car. If you'd rather not have to worry about heating the pad up, then this may be one to pass on.As to the life of the pad - 70,000mi seems pretty darn good to me. I don't take the car to the track, but my normal driving habits could be called quite spirited. But then again I'm also pretty easy on them when I'm in traffic or putting around town; I don't rush to a stop sign and jam on the brake pedal at the last second.
My only problem with the pads is that it seems hard to find a distributor (and one with a good price, at that). I suppose they're not as popular a pad - but that's a real shame. I highly recommend giving them a shot.
They're ultra quiet, don't give off too much dust, and they've lasted me quite a long time. I'm just now getting ready to put a new set on. I've been running a set of Performance Friction's Z-Rated pads for the last 70k miles.
I ended up getting Hawk HPS pads from a forum vendor. I’ve only put about a hundred miles on them, but very happy with them all around. Thanks for the reply all the same.
