Default MGW Shifter Ish.

Was wondering if anyone has had the same problem or theres a solution. About 2 months ago I installed the MGW short throw and now after the break in period I'm still having trouble getting into 5th. Also having a hell of a time getting into reverse. Solutions? I followed the instructions to a T.....

I had the same problem for a while, but not anymore. You need to adjust your shifter. Here's two links:

It might take a bit of fiddling around before you get it perfect. It took me two, maybe three attempts before I was completely satisfied. My advice is to adjust it, leave the center console out of the car, and drive around for a couple days to decide if you got it right before reassembling the interior. It will be a time saver.

Getting into 5th can be kind of a beast because of the centering spring, even after the 'break in'. I just kinda changed the way I shift. I pull my elbow close to my body so when i push diagonally from 4th to 5th I have good leverage/power. I only miss if if I'm being lazy and shift all limp wrsited lol

Yes- Same issue. It can be alleviated by adjusting the angle of the shifter ) for me toward my knee).
