It is definitely belt squeal above 3500 rpm or so under moderately strong acceleration. I can also reproduce it by revving the car more than I like to in neutral. The car is new to me and the belt appears to be in excellent condition, but the car is a 2002 with 18,000 miles - it would probably appear new even at 9 yrs old.
I don't know if it is the tensioner not holding enough tension at higher RPMs, belt age, or one of the other accessories dragging to produce the squeal. How can I diagnose?
I have a friend coming over this weekend to install vararam b2 intake so i will have an extra set of eyes and ears.
